The Romantic Tutu is an integral part of nearly every ballet ever choreographed, especially for Corps de Ballet roles. It's design and construction is a costuming art-form like few others. This tutu is typically intended to flow and float, to be very ethereal and often wraith-like in appearance and use. Although tried by many, the form has been perfected by few. Ms. Folts successfully combines the techniques and methods of The Masters of yesteryear with modern-day fabrics and technologies.

Our fully-decorated, performance-ready Romantic tutus range in price from $165.00 (with domestic tulle) to $1600.00 (with silk tulle). The finished price ultimately depends on the complexity of design and sizing, the elaborateness of beading, jewels, and trims, your fabric and materials choices, and the options desired - bodice style, sleeves, plates and overlays, matching headpieces, etc.

Basic Undecorated Performance-Quality Romantic Tutus
Our basic, undecorated, professional-quality Romantic tutus range in price from $110.00 to $350.00, depending on the options you select. You should allow a minimum of 4 weeks for delivery.
There are 2 styles of Romantic Tutu available.

The 'Classic Romantic' tutu has no basque, and the skirt hangs from the waist.

The 'Neo-Romantic' tutu, also called 'Serenade-style', has a short, attached basque, and the skirt hangs from the hip. Note: the Neo-Romantic style is available as an option added to the standard Romantic tutu.
All Basic Romantic Tutus are available in several standard sizes and 2 standard colors, and can be customized to suit your particular needs.
Hooks and Eyes are included separately, along with instructions for placement. Storage loops are attached to the skirt.
Matching-color trunks, either separate (easily washable) or built-in (integral with the tutu), can be included for additional cost.
Skirt options include, but are not limited to:

Yes, we can make Romantic tutus using Silk Tulle. These are much more expensive, since Silk Tulle can cost $75.00 to $100.00 or more per yard - and our Romantic Tutus have a minumum of 12 yards of Tulle. However, no other fabric flows like Silk! Please call to discuss.
